The Silesian Stadium is one of the most recognizable stadiums in Poland and one of the most identifying region, a sports, recreational and cultural facility. The location of the Stadium in the largest park in Poland (Silesian Park) complements the area of active spending by the inhabitants of the Silesian region. The Silesian Stadium and Silesian Park offer a unique space in the country for organizing sport, recreational and cultural events.
The SILESIAN STADIUM – basic information
The modernization ended with putting into use the stadium meeting the highest requirements for football stadiums (category 4 according to UEFA classification) and athletics stadiums (category I according to IAAF classification).
The main scope of work included roofing the stands. As part of the modernization of the stadium, a new upper western grandstand was also built. The surface of the polycarbonate roof measures over 43 thousand m².
In the vote of the jury of the international plebiscite Stadium of the Year 2017, the Silesian Stadium took the fifth place.

- 25 VIP boxes with seats for 384 people,
- 1 777 business places and up to 842 media stands,
- 106 seats for persons with disabilities.
The running track on the main arena have 9 lanes with 9 finishing straights, 3 pole vault plant boxes, 3 jumping pits for triple jump and long jump, a water jump for steeplechase, 2 approach areas for high jump, 2 javelin throw circles, 2 shot put throwing circles and 2 hammer and discus throw circles.
The Silesian Stadium also has the necessary infrastructure for organizing conferences or business meetings. These are multi-functional spaces which can be arranged for any event, fitted with modern sound equipment, multimedia room as well as sanitary and changing room facilities.
