How to apply to become a volunteer?
In order to become a volunteer at the European Team Championships in Athletics, held as part of the European Games Krakow-Malopolska 2023, you must successfully pass the recruitment process, which consists of two stages. The first is registration on the Volunteer Portal: volunteers.european-games.org and filling out the recruitment form. The second stage will be an online recruitment interview, to which selected candidates will be invited. Based on it, volunteers will be selected.
What is the timing of the volunteer activities?
The European Team Athletics Championships will be held on June 20-25, 2023 at the Silesian Stadium, but some will start their activities about a week earlier. Most of the people on volunteering will be engaged in work only on June 18 - it all depends on the assigned zone. Support in some areas will also be needed after the competition.
Who can volunteer?
Any person who is at least 16 years old can volunteer at the event. However, there are departments, such as NOC Assisant, Medical Patrols and Anti-Doping, in which only adults will be involved.
When will you be informed of your acceptance as a volunteer?
Each person who successfully completes the registration process and is qualified to volunteer will receive a message by the end of May, confirming acceptance with information about the assigned zone of activities.
What tasks will be assigned to volunteers?
The type of tasks performed will depend on the department to which the volunteer will be assigned. In the application form, you can choose which of the 21 departments you want to be involved in.
Will people on volunteer assignment receive training?
The volunteer will receive training in knowledge of the European Games 2023, first aid, safety and detailed job training.
Training information will be provided to volunteers via the Volunteer Portal and via email. General training materials will be made available online via the Volunteer Portal. Position training will take place directly at the location to which the volunteer is assigned. Volunteers will be informed of the location and date of position training via email.

Yes, food is provided for all volunteers during their duties.
Are people on volunteering covered by insurance?
Each volunteer will be provided with accident insurance (personal accident insurance) during his/her activities.
Is a foreign language required?
Knowledge of foreign languages is a great asset, but people without knowledge of a foreign language will also have a chance to become volunteers.
Is compensation received for volunteer work?
According to the statutory definition of volunteering, it is a selfless, voluntary, conscious and unpaid activity.
Does the organizer provide accommodation?
A limited number of accommodations will be available. If you need accommodation - please indicate this in the form.
